From choosing Wordpress themes to reflecting on digital identity, this session explores Domain of One’s Own (DoOO) from the student perspective. It will include a brief overview of DoOO and a question and answer session between the moderator and panelists. The session will explore the ways DoOO can serve to integrate academic work, co-curricular interests and professional goals. It will also investigate how the use of domains, and architecture of websites, can shift as students gain new digital tools and conceptual insights. Each of the three panelists has used Domains in unique ways, from course blog posts to entrepreneurial endeavors. The presenters have also come to DoOO in a variety of ways, having participated in pilot initiatives at St. Norbert College or, in one case, an entirely self-directed project.
